I was going through some old DVDs recently and realized something interesting — watching movies on DVD still feels different, especially when it comes to the soundtrack and overall experience.
A lot of people today stream everything, but DVDs often come with better control over audio tracks, extras, and sometimes even higher-quality versions of the original score. And honestly, film music plays a huge role in how we feel a scene — it’s not just background, it actually shapes the whole experience .
At the same time, I’ve noticed that many of us now rely on our phones for everything — chatting, sharing clips, even discussing movies. Apps like GB WhatsApp (and even customized versions of it) have kind of replaced forums for quick sharing, like sending favorite scenes, soundtrack clips, or movie recommendations instantly.
But I feel forums like this still have something special — deeper discussions and real opinions instead of just quick messages.
So I’m curious:
Do you still collect DVDs, especially for movies with great soundtracks?
Or have you fully moved to streaming + mobile sharing?
Any DVD you own mainly because of its music or special features?
Would love to hear what everyone here is still collecting
