Looking at the Model L you’d be forgiven for thinking there isn’t anything special there; a no-frills assault rifle, it looks like it may have outlived its usefulness, even in a game set in the 90s. Well, think again. The Model L – especially with our loadout – is a fast-firing mid-range demon, and can take entire teams out in the blink of an eye. How to unlock the Model L The Model L is unlocked at level 40, which is around the mid-point of your Black Ops 6 prestige journey. You should already be comfortable with assault rifles at this point, meaning you can get the most out of this supremely accurate firearm. Not only is the lethality of the Model L dramatically increased with the inclusion of the Rapid Fire mod, but with the addition of the Ported Compensator, Reinforced Barrel, and Vertical Foregrip, the increase in recoil is non-existent. This thing shoots like a laser beam, taking out anything unfortunate enough to be in your sights. We keep the ADS speed snappy with the inclusion of the Quickdraw Grip, and the Balanced Stock makes sure that we’re mobile even when aiming down sights. Extended Mag I is in place so we can stay in fights for longer without having to reload – vital for taking on multiple assailants. As always, the optic is down to personal preference, but we like the solid nature of the Ridwell Reflex, it matches the rugged nature of the Model L perfectly. The Molotov is a great area-denial tool, and the Trophy System keeps enemy throwables away from you and yours. The Recon set of perks will allow you to gain a snapshot of any nearby opponents when spawning, which should help you create a plan of attack. Best Black Ops 6 Model L alternatives If you want something a bit more aggressive than the Model L, we suggest giving the AS Val a try. The AS Val is a fast-firing, silenced assault rifle, and if you use our best Black Ops 6 AS Val loadout, you’ll find success in taking the fight to the enemy, as well as defending what you already have. If you want to remove the Gunfighter Wildcard and go for something like Overkill instead, we recommend pairing it with something like our best Black Ops 6 Jackal PDW loadout.
